Playing dress up!

It’s not every day that I get to be in front of the camera let alone get my husband to partake in the action as well! When Alicia of Alicia Ann Photographers put out a little feeler on social media saying that she was going to be in Colorado and was looking for a few couples to model for her, I jumped on the opportunity (without telling Tanner). He’s the type of guy that hates taking photos. For our family sessions (that don’t happen nearly enough), he gives our photographer a 20 minute timeslot with a stopwatch included. He always does the duty and smiles and takes some great photos, but then times up and he’s out. I can relate to a lot of my clients when they say their husbands are the same way. SO this time I really had to make it very clear to him that this meant A LOT to me and I promised him it would be worth it to him;) We met Alicia up at the top of Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder where she had this ah-mazing sequin dress waiting for me! I felt like a movie star! Tanner rarely gets dressed in anything more than a dirty t-shirt and ripped jeans so this was a treat (to me!). He looked amazing. I think he even gave JT a run for his money! He even had a great time! We laughed between shots and enjoyed ourselves “on top of the world”. It was a gorgeous night and couldn’t have been any of a prettier Colorado evening. I love having these because even if we don’t show our love like this all the time, we do truly have the best relationship and are soul mates. . . and these gorgeous photos caputure that:)

For those of you who know us, we aren’t the real serious, lovey dovey type. . . but this was a special shoot and we rocked it if I say so myself! Alicia was great and made us feel awesome. She shot the whole shoot in film which doesn’t allow for much error. When I got the photo gallery from her I was in shock! I might be biased, but they are incredible. I cannot thank her enough for capturing these for us. I just had a canvas made of ONE of my favorites (although it was REALLY hard to choose!) and now I want like 10 more! So excited to share them all with you!
