Well what do you know!? The summer is over and the kids are back in school! How did that go so fast?? Feels like we were just enjoying our big summer vacation not having a care in the world, dirty feet, late bedtimes, s’mores every night. . . not anymore! Oh well! There’s always next summer! Now we’ll be looking forward to the fall. . . football, pumpkins, halloween and cooler temps:)

Just wanted to share some fun pics from our trip to Deep Creek Lake this summer. I grew up vacationing here with my family and our amazing hosts Kay and Russ. So thankful for them and their hospitality! This was the first time I’ve been back there in about 18 years! Crazy! My mom has been going every summer and each year asks me to come with her but life with kids gets in the way and I haven’t made it happen. SO this year, there was a glimpse of hope that maybe we could all go and we didn’t tell my mom just so she wouldn’t get her hopes up. When we got the actual logistics figured out and bought our tickets we kept it a secret from her still! She was arriving a day early and we managed to surprise her! We pulled in and Leyton & Kyler ran up on the deck where she was sitting with her back to us and jumped in front of her! She screamed and screamed! It was pretty awesome:) I love surprises!!

We had the most amazing few days of serious wake boarding, wake surfing, skiing and tubing. . . oh and eating and drinking! (of course!) My cousins and uncle were also there and they are the best when it comes to any water sport! They were so great with helping the kiddos learn how to waterski:)

We had a blast and were sad to leave but were also looking forward to the next leg of our trip. . . Lake Nebo in NY! I’ll save those pics for another post!
