Michael & Phoung-Anh (Angie) got married on June 20th with their friends and family by their side. Being both Vietnamese, they held 2 traditional tea ceremonies in the morning where each family brings gifts to one another covered in elaborate red cloths. For the bride these gifts are traditionally representing the wealth that the grooms family will share with the family of the bride. They are an even number of gifts, which signals luck for the newlyweds. A formal tea and candle ceremony follows the exchange of gifts and speeches from family members are made. Phoung-Anh looked gorgeous in her traditional red gown during the morning ceremonies and then changed into a second dress for photos with their bridal party and later for their reception. What Bride doesn’t want to have two wedding gowns!? Lucky girl! After the traditions took place, friends and family gathered for a wonderful reception full of love and fun! The food was amazing and was flowing all night as well as the Hennessy! Congrats to the newlyweds! I hope you had a wonderful time and cheers to a future of happiness together!

If you look closely to the right of the moon you can see Venus. . . I’d call that some good luck too:)
