Two Boulder engagement shoots on the blog this week! Both I’m totally obsessed over and both so different. Check out Robin & Gerry’s here and keep reading to see Leah & Brad’s!

Leah & Brad got engaged at the Betty Ford Gardens in Vail. Brad had been planning it for a long time and of course was envisioning a gorgeous day in his mind. Well when it came time to head to the gardens, it was raining. . . of course! But thankfully in Colorado fashion, the rain let up and they were able to walk through the gardens and take it all in. Brad had planned to ask a stranger to take a picture of them with his phone right before he popped the question. . . but since the rain had just let loose, they were the only ones there! He was kind of frantically looking around saying “Where are all the people?” Leah thought it was nice that they had the place to themselves and was wondering why Brad was so concerned with all the people! Obviously she didn’t think too much of it and they kept exploring. FINALLY, Brad spotted a group of 4 adults and ran over to them to ask them to take a photo of the two of them. He gave them his phone to use for the photo and backed up to Leah. After everyone was in place for a nice photo in the gardens, Brad got down on one knee and completely shocked Leah (and the people taking the photo!). As he asked her to marry him, everyone (including the strangers) burst into tears! She of course said YES and now they have awesome photos of the entire proposal! (See them here!) Now it made sense to Leah why he was looking for other people! After everyone calmed down just a bit, they found out that the people who had taken their photo had gotten married in that same spot just a few years before! It was meant to be that they were there on that day!

Leah and Brad are making wedding plans for July 2 up on top of Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder. We thought it was appropriate to do their engagement session in Boulder and show off the great city that it is! We started downtown wandering around West Pearl then headed to Chataqua for a gorgeous evening. I’m so excited for their wedding day this summer and so thankful to be a big part of it! Leave them a little love in the comments and tell them how amazing they look. . . cause they did!!
