My cousin David proposed to his girlfriend on a bike ride through the rolling hills of England. Im pretty sure that would fit into any girls dreams! So when we heard the news we were thrilled for them and also thrilled to be there at the wedding wherever it may be! So a year later and we are in the dense woods of North Carolina about to celebrate David & Sarah! Our families have always been super close with theirs and others who would also be making the trip so it really was an amazing reunion! We and the greatest time! My family and the Brewster family rented a house in the woods and spent our mornings sitting around the breakfast table drinking coffee, laughing over Dr. Evil jokes, reminiscing  about our days as kids and hearing new stories from each others lives. We all have such a wonderful bond and ANY excuse to get together is awesome! We used to live within 15 minutes of each other and now we are all scattered around the country. Abby & Rob are in Brooklyn, Paige & Ben live in Boston where Tyler recently relocated to, Brad & Missy in NJ, and my family, parents & Andrew & Jess are 2000 miles away in CO.

At first without thinking of the reality of traveling with 2 young kids the plan was for all 4 of us to go, but as Tanner and I really thought about it decided to leave him at home with the boys. At first I was really sad about it but the more I thought about it the mrs I started to realize that I would actually have a VACATION! So it was great being able to relax and enjoy myself and we’ll bring them next time! As they get older it will be easier to travel and Im excited for that!

Highlands NC is a beautiful little town! We visited farmers markets, ate at BBQ joints, walked the botanical gardens and hiked up to Sunset Rock for an amazing view. Overall an amazing trip filled with so much laughter, an extravagant rehearsal dinner and a wedding that was out of this world!
