Shannon and Adam are MARRIED! | Cancun, Mexico

It is so fun photographing my friends especially when it is their long awaited wedding day! Shannon and I met 4 years ago when our oldest sons were in pre-school together. Their teacher pulled me aside and said that I really should chat with Tyler’s mom and get the boys together for a playdate. She said they were inseparable in class. My baby had a best friend! So that afternoon at pick up I introduced myself to Shannon. Its so funny. . . the mom dating. . . “Um, hi! I’m Leyton’s mom. Do you want to hang out with me?” Ha ha! That’s kinda how it goes! You mom’s out there get it. . . mom dating. Luckily, “Tyler’s Mom” was super cool and we started a great friendship!

Shannon and Adam have been together for a long time and have two beautiful children and have always put them first. They had the dream of getting married on the beach for a long time and finally made it a reality! They invited their closest family and friends to Cancun where we celebrated for three days. The sun, the sand, the margaritas and their beautiful wedding! Shannon’s super talented mom sewed her wedding dress by hand and created a one of a kind piece for her daughter. How amazing is that!? We all gathered in the sun to witness their vows to each other. As Shannon was escorted down the aisle by her two oldest brothers, (her youngest brother married them!), Adam couldn’t help but get choked up. I saw you Adam, don’t pretend you didn’t! Who wouldn’t!?? There were tears shed but many laughs as the intimate ceremony went on. They exchanged rings and then shared their first kiss ever! Ok, just kidding, but their first truly MARRIED kiss!

We all gathered on the terrace and cheers the newlyweds with shots of tequila and danced with the sand in our toes. I hope it was just as you two envisioned it because it really couldn’t have been more perfect for you two! All the planning and excitement leading up to the weekend was all worth having that group of people there for you to support and love you!
