This particular weekend I had back to back weddings at the same venue! Sarah & Rodney’s wedding was on a Saturday evening and the wedding on Sunday was a morning wedding! So I basically slept over at the venue! Ha ha, not really but close! But lucky for me this venue is absolutely gorgeous and I had two fun couples to spend their wedding days with!
First up, Sarah & Rodney! The day started off super relaxed with Sarah & her best friends having a great time getting their hair and makeup done. I asked all the girls how they all knew each other and the reminiscing on how they all met began. It’s always fun hearing how best friends actually become best friends! One of Sarah’s besties was one of her old horseback riding trainers. When Sarah first came to Amber’s barn to ride, Amber asked her for her parents permission to ride. Sarah had to tell Amber that she was actually 27 years old and didn’t need a permission slip signed! As you’ll see, Sarah is super petite and Amber mistook her for a teenager! After they had a good laugh, the rest was history! Another one of Sarah’s bridesmaids, Lindsey was actually the “matchmaker” for Sarah & Rodney and takes full credit for getting them together!
As the morning went on, Sarah got in her beautiful gown and shared a “First Touch” with her soon to be husband. They exchanged letters with one another without seeing each other before their ceremony. A very sweet moment of the day:)
As the ceremony neared, the girls were giddy and the guys were ready to stand by Rodney’s side as they said their vows to one another. As their family and friends watched Sarah and her Dad walk down the aisle, Rodney had a look of pure joy on his face. There were tears and laughter throughout and Rodney even snuck a quick kiss on Sarah’s hand before they were pronounced Husband & Wife.
Their reception took place in a huge barn on the property. . . fitting for both of these equestrian lovers! Dancing under the twinkle lights rounded off the evenings events.
Congrats to you two! I hope your wedding was everything you wanted it to be and you’re still basking in that “newlywed glow”.
