Emilie & Tripp's whimsical yet classic, DIY Wedding

Emilie & Tripp‘s wedding day was flawless. Everything from their beautiful venue to Emilie’s stunning gown it all fit perfectly together and made it a fantastic day. Whimsy and classic details made their reception fun and unique. Their guests dined on high class fried chicken and danced the night away to an awesome DJ. I have to give a major shout out to my awesome second shooter, Nicole D Photography for capturing so many great moments and being so much fun to work with!

Here’s a little more from the Bride herself,
“My grandma, aunt, mom and I are all members of PEO, a national philanthropic and sisterhood organization. The PEO Chapter House in Cheyenne Canyon is in my childhood neighborhood and it was the last place I would have thought to have a wedding, it is technically a retirement home! But my mom suggested we check it out. We went to visit and then I couldn’t think of having the wedding anywhere else. It was the perfect match of gorgeous and laid back. We immediately knew this had to be the venue and quickly set the date.
The inspiration for the rest of the wedding came from the bear cake toppers from BHLDN. Those were the first wedding decorations we bought and they put the whole thing in perspective. It had to be a Colorado wedding. I’m so proud to be from here and Tripp has fallen in love with the state since moving here 3 years ago. With Colorado in mind it was easy to move forward.
The Chapter House didn’t need much extra decoration to be beautiful but the florist (Skyway Creations) made it ethereal with balloons and ribbons hanging from the trees near the ceremony area and lanterns in the trees near the reception. My dad and brother spent about 10 hours getting the globe lights up for the reception but they turned out exactly how I had imagined, mimicking a garden I had visited for dinner once in Sienna, Italy (not Colorado, but so pretty anyway!)”
