Meagan & Hunter’s Surprise Wedding! | The St Vrain | Longmont, CO

It’s not everyday that you get to be part of something as special as Meagan & Hunter’s Wedding Day. When Annie, from the newest wedding venue in Longmont, The St Vrain asked me if I wanted to be part of the celebration I immediately said yes! They were planning along with Brindle + Oak a SURPRISE WEDDING for their Launch Party! The St Vrain has been in the works for a long time and they were finally ready to open their doors and wanted to do something very special for all the amazing local vendors here in the Denver area. Michelle from Brindle + Oak knew of a very special couple who were recently engaged and dreaming of a beautiful wedding that was most likely a bit out of reach. And that’s when this idea hatched. . . why not throw them a Dream Wedding and have it be an incredible surprise to all who were invited to an “Industry Cocktail Party”! As vendors we are always working the events and don’t quite get to enjoy them as a guest would. So this would be a special treat!

Meagan & Hunter are the most genuine, kind hearted, passionate and kind couple! They worked together and always eyed each other from afar until Hunter took the plunge and asked Meagan on a date. Over the course of their dating Meagan realized that Hunter balanced her more than she had ever been before. They grew to be each other’s “home” and complete one another to the fullest extent. Right before their first look they shared love notes to one another and I had to try my hardest not to ugly cry in front of them in their intimate moment! They are both so eloquent with words and shared their dreams for one another. Hunter was absolutely overwhelmed by the sight of his soon-to-be wife and I definitely experienced one of the sweetest and most emotional First Looks I’ve even seen.

The entire day was put together with their unique personalities in mind to showcase in the most beautiful way their love for each other. Rachel with A Florae created a stunning backdrop for their ceremony using dream catchers as Meagan had commented on how much she loved them while in Rachel’s studio during the planning process. Hear from Rachel herself. . .  “I’ve had a love for dreamcatchers for a long time, I love what they symbolize and I love the intricacy that it takes to make just one. When Meagan and Hunter came to my studio one day, I saw Meagan look up and smile with her eyes at the dreamcatchers that I have in my store. I always remembered that moment and in learning that she is part Native American, it became an obvious decision that I would incorporate those into the ceremony decor. And not just one. There was a tiny dreamcatcher in the middle of all of them that I gave Meghan as a gift to take home to remember the day and to symbolize catching their own dreams to conquer together as a future married couple. As intricate as it is to make one dreamcatcher, it is far more intricate to work on a marriage and your dreams can be boundless.”

Yonder Floral and Decor House used their talents to set the reception and the entryway as guests arrived! They set the tone as a warm and cozy with amazing textures and modern flare to compliment the industrial venue. It truly all came together perfectly! Sugar Pine Catering crafted the most delicious assortment of foods for guests to sample from. Everything from the most beautiful charcuterie board to a build your own Asian takeout container! Their imagination and expertise with food is unreal!

I am so fortunate to have had the experience working with Meagan & Hunter and all the amazingly talented vendors who came together to make their day even more beautiful than they could’ve dreamed! Your talents are all overwhelming and greatly appreciated! Thank you to you all and CONGRATS to the Newlyweds!!
