I’m so excited to bring you Lucas & Jade’s Wedding Day!! What a way to kick off September! On September 1st these two said their vows to one another in Boulder Canyon in the most gorgeous setting at The Wedgewood Banquet Center. The lawn was filled with their loved ones as they smiled, giggled, teared up and witnessed their marriage.

Jade first contacted me months ago about photographing her wedding and told me that her fiancé knew me from high school. I was so happy to hear that Lucas Gilbride was getting married and that he and his beautiful fiancé wanted me to capture it! I remembered him as the fun kid who was always smiling ear to ear and was always making people laugh. Well turns out he’s still the same and now has been making Jade smile and laugh for years! The couple lives in Milwaukee where Lucas is doing his residency and Jade is a Pharmacist (no shortage of smarts in this crew!). They are both from CO and both went to school here (CU vs. CSU!), they decided to have their wedding in their beautiful home state. Also turned out to be the same day as the Rocky Mountain Showdown . . . CU Buffs vs. CSU Rams! There was a fun rivalry going on all night and a good amount of light-hearted teasing:)

After some gorgeous Bride & Groom photos, a fun round of Bridal Party pics and a GORGEOUS ceremony to shoot I was basically on cloud 9. The whole day was a photographers dream and really showcased the couples personality and class. Guests were dressed to the nines and dined on a delicious meal under crystal chandeliers. We all watched as the Newlyweds performed a beautifully choreographed first dance and listened to some amazing toasts from friends and family.

The night was not complete without a fun photo booth inside an old classic Volkswagon Van. The Shutterbus rolled up to the lawn where guests got to take super fun photos and pop them in a guest book for the Bride & Groom as a keepsake. (The Shutterbus is AWESOME!!) Any other Brides & Grooms looking at a photo booth. . . they are the BEST I’ve seen!
