Katie & Christian are Married! | A River Bend Wedding

This venue is one of my favorites in all of Colorado and it was the perfect setting for Katie & Christian’s wedding day just a few weeks ago. Every detail was thoughtfully planned out by the Bride & Groom and not a single thing was overlooked. Gorgeous lounge areas were displayed in various places for their guests to be comfortable, the floral arrangements were spectacular, the farm tables set to perfection and the scenery that River Bend offers was the icing on the cake. (oh and speaking of the cake. . . yum!)

Katie and her girls spent the morning at the Parlour getting pampered before heading over to their venue where they had a spectacular glamping tent to hang out in! Just one of the fun aspects of River Bend. They cheers with champagne, laughed about the fun they’d had the night before and got ready for the ceremony together.

Katie & Christian exchanged letters to each other before the ceremony that they read in private before seeing one another. Even though I didn’t read what Christian wrote to Katie, tears were in my eyes while I watched Katie read in silence. (I told you, I cry at every wedding!) I loved this special moment:)

Their ceremony took place under the trees and was officiated by a mutual friend of theirs. He did a great job and had the honor of pronouncing them husband and wife! As they receded down the aisle, you could see the joy in their faces and hear the cheers and applauses from all their guests.

The reception was help under a gorgeous open air tent and they dined family style with delicious food from one of my favorite caterers, Sugar Pine Catering. As toasts were made, cheers and laughter could be heard throughout the venue and cake cutting lead to dancing outside down by the river. This is also one of my favorite things about River Bend. . . the dancing al fresco! It’s absolutely gorgeous and the bistro lights strung above the dance floor give it a fun and romantic vibe. They had a lovely band who played bluegrass music and entertained everyone even in the little bit of rain that we got.

Katie & Christian I want to thank you for having me photograph your wedding day. It’s people like you that make my job so wonderful and fun! I wish you the best in your marriage and cannot wait to see what adventures come your way!
