I hope everyone had an awesome holiday and are ready to get back in gear for the New Year! I’m SO excited (SO EXCITED) about 2017 and all the amazing couples that I am getting to know! Lorna & Ryan are tying the knot in May which happens to be my first wedding in 2017! It’ll be an awesome start to the season and these two couldn’t be any more fun:) Lorna is ALL smiles and she has her man to hold and protect her for the rest of her life. They brought their loving little pup along for their engagement session and we played around at Chautauqua Park and then headed up to Lost Gulch overlook which has been a super popular destination for a lot of my couples this season. . . so you’ll be seeing more! We had a gorgeous day although the wind kicked up a little more fierce than maybe we would’ve liked, but hey. . . they rocked it! I would say that was the worst of our problems but about 10 minutes into the shoot I decided to try to get a little closer for a shot and knelt down on a (freaking!) cactus! SO that was a new experience. Dozens of teensy, tiny, little prickly things (I don’t even know what their technical name is) right through my jeans and into my skin. Awesome. Lorna & Ryan were so concerned for me and were so helpful trying to pick them out for me! We got most of them, BUT a little tip if this ever happened to you. . . elmers glue all over the area, let it dry and peel it off! I looked it up after I got back home to get the last few out. Anyhow, we all survived and it made for a great story.
