Shannon & Matt are married! | A Cleveland Botanic Gardens Wedding

I’m skipping ahead a couple of weddings to blog because this one is EXTRA special and because they are FAMILY. . . and family always comes first! Where do I even begin with Shannon & Matt?! These two have known each other F-O-R-E-V-E-R (say that like the Sandlot kid)! They have been dating since high school and did the long distance thing for what I think was way too long. That says something about their relationship right off the bat. Anyone who can withstand being apart for years and still end up together deserves a gold star in my book! Shannon would hop in her car and drive hours from University of Cincinnati where she studied Graphic Design, to go watch Matt play baseball at Wofford College all the way in South Carolina. Matt was (still is!) an outstanding baseball player and with Shan on the sidelines it made for a perfect match.

Shannon is one of the most confident, strong and fierce woman I think I know. Shan even though you are younger than me, I totally look up to you! I honestly love when people say we look alike because that’s one of the best compliments I could get! You are one of those people that is always happy and make everyones moods around you instantly happy as well. Don’t get me started on your sense of humor, cause we all know you’ve got it! I think you got that from your Dad:) Your drive and kindness is undeniable and you know you got that from your Mom:)

Shannon’s beautiful Mom, Lorna passed away just a few short years ago and we all miss her so much. She was the one who taught me how to waterski when I was 8 years old in freezing cold Lake Ontario! She was a wonderful mom to both Shannon and her brother Dylan and a fierce woman to recon with. Dylan and Shannon definitely have some of their moms amazing qualities and I know think about her daily. We know she was there with all of us!

Matt, even though I don’t know you as well as Shannon, I think I love you just as much! You are the kindest, most positive and energetic guy on the planet! The two of you together are like a big ball of energy that you pass around to everyone you meet. You are thoughtful, driven and I know you will make the best husband ever (and Shan just let Grandma know if he’s not. . . she’s already threatened him!). Your family has welcomed Shannon with open arms and embraced her like she was their own daughter. You are both lucky to have supportive families and friends to be there for you!

Their wedding was one for the books. Shannon’s immaculate taste for classic and timeless pieces set the tone for the entire day. She wore this Big 5 Carat Radiant Cut Diamond Stud Earrings and it looked so pretty on her. Shannon & her girls took the morning to get ready on one of the top floors of the Hilton in Downtown Cleveland. There just happened to be an airshow going on that day and the floor to ceiling windows looks right over the airport! It was so cool seeing jets fly right past the windows every so often!

Shannon & Matt had a super cute first look where Shannon ended up pumping up her buff arms in excitement! That’s the relationship they have:) After they had a few moments to themselves we rounded up their crew and headed over to the Art Museum in Cleveland. We had a fun round of Bridal Party pictures along with about 6 other Wedding Partly groups. . . Labor Day weekend= Wedding Extravaganza! Then it was over to the Cleveland Botanic Gardens where their ceremony and reception would be held. What a gorgeous venue! Anyone ever wondering what kind of venue to host their wedding. . . choose a botanical garden and you don’t have to worry about decorating the entire place! The gardens were gorgeous! You can also contact experts from peterspatiolandscape to maintain your landscape . The ceremony took place in a small garden lined with trees and flowering bushes. You can check here for organic lawn care with the help of professional lawn services to get a weed-free and lush green lawn. It was short and sweet and I may have cried a little ugly cry behind my lens when Shannon and her Dad (Uncle Steve!) walked down the aisle. If you’re planning for a garden wedding, BBEWDC | Pest Control & Bed bug Removal need to be checked out at first to get rid of bugs. You can also contact experts from pest control portland to control pests in garden.

After a kiss to seal the deal we partied the night away! Now these two love to dance and what a dance fest it was! Shannon & Matt busted out a surprise choreographed routine for their first dance that set the place on fire! After that there was no turning back! My kids (I can’t believe I’m admitting this on the internet) stayed up until 2am dancing! Leyton was king of the dance floor! I’ve never seen him like that and it was amazing! He was in the middle of all the dance circles living his best life for sure! Ky was hanging in there too, but mostly searching for more chocolate chip cake!

What a fabulous day and I couldn’t have been more happy to be there to celebrate with them and take a few photos along the way! When I have a job that allows me to be creative and spend the most amazing day with people I love, you really can’t call it a job!

Shannon & Matt. . . thank you, thank you! What a blast! I think I’m still on a high from it! I hope you had an amazing time exploring the coast of California and I can’t wait to see what the future hold for you two balls of energy! Come back to Colorado soon!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Ramsay!! Enjoy your wedding day story. . .

Shannon collaborated with a friend to design her gorgeous invitation suite. That view! Shannon & Matt exchanged private vows before the ceremony.  And Matt surprised her with a second wedding band! More diamonds! Shannon’s tattoo for her mom.Matt’s mom had this clutch made from her wedding dress and the lace from Shannon’s mom’s! Shannon wore her Maid of Honor/sister-in-laws veil! Love you Alecia! She is a stunner! Matt had custom baseball bats made for each of his groomsmen with their names and the wedding date on them! AMAZING!  Their First Look! Pump those buff arms Shan! The Red Twig did an incredible job on all the florals! My heart! Ceremony Time! Shannon’s Mom, Lorna’s seat 🙂 Crying! Stoked to be official! MARRIED! Have to include all these gorgeous people!!  Let Cocktail Hour begin! Love this! Some of the jets from the airshow flew over during cocktail hour! Shannon was on the waterski team at University of Cincinnati! (I told you she was awesome!) So what better than to have everyone sign this old wooden ski as a guest book! This is our Grandma’s “famous chocolate chip cake”! Shannon made it herself for Matt & her to share. . . and thanks for giving the first piece to Kyler! (his favorite too!) My favorite! Stud! Let the party begin!! My Uncle Steve made the greatest speech that left us all crying then laughing! You’re the best! Alecia. . . best Maid of Honor Ever! You knocked it outta the park!

A HUGE shoutout to all these amazing vendors! You all made this day so special and it couldn’t have been done without you!
