This post is coming at a crazy time in Colorado history. There is major flooding happening all along the front range and entire cities are being evacuated including Lyons, where this wedding took place. We are said to have almost a years worth of rain in just two days. When only months ago our state was experiencing horrible fires and we were all doing rain dances in the street! Now we are calling for reverse rain dances to stop it all from coming. It has been issued a “Disaster” and the National Guard is trying to evacuate as many people as possible. My family and I are all safe. . . trapped here in Longmont. There are literally no roads open at the moment to get out, but so far we haven’t experienced any damage. We’ll have to wait until all this water subsides to see how much damage there is, but fingers crossed for the owners of the Lyons Farmette and to everyone else who’s been evacuated or has had any property damage. Try and look at the bigger picture and be relieved that friends and family are safe! And for some beauty amongst the storm. . . Roz & Ernie’s gorgeous wedding. . .
Rosalyn & Ernesto were married on August 24th at the Lyons Farmette, the cutest little place you’ve ever seen! I have know Roz & Ernie for a long time now and those who know them are all saying, “It’s about time!” They have been together since they were just kids, going to high school dances together, really growing up together. . . so it’s “about time guys!” that you tied the knot! My husband and I got that all the time too, but these two take the cake! So it was wonderful to be a part of their wedding and experience their two families coming together to celebrate what they all knew would some day happen. There was so much joy that filled the day! Roz, was stunning and really took in each moment to enjoy her wedding day. She’s a beautiful example of how a bride should act on her wedding day. . . cool, calm, filled with love and happiness! Her girlfriends were there by her side to get ready and share those special moments with her. Ernie and his two brothers and his two new brother-in-laws had their share of fun too! As I went to round them up for Groomsmen photos they were already a few tequila shots deep! (I may have encouraged just one more for a photo! Oops!) The guys were so much fun to photograph! They were hamming it up for the camera:) The entire day was beautiful and filled with so much love and laughter and a huge thank you again to Roz & Ernie for having me capture it! The newlyweds are celebrating their marriage in Italy right now so send them lots of love across the ocean and wish them safe travels!

Roz & Ernie’s First Look. It was so wonderful after these two being together for so long and still getting so emotional the first time they saw each other on their wedding day.
My eyes were filled with tears and I may have even ugly cried for a second!
The sun popped through the trees for a few moments making their ceremony even more magical!
