A huge congratulations is in order for these two! They got engaged back in May and we were able to capture some gorgeous sunrise photos of this awesome couple. A few months ago, Gerry had arranged with the help of Robin’s parents to surprise her in CA and ask her to marry him. Robin loves to golf and her Dad who lives in CA told here there was a big Father/Daughter golf tournament at Torrey Pines that he had signed them up for. She was excited about visiting her family and playing in the tournament. She left Gerry behind in CO and flew out to CA for the weekend. The day before the “tournament” (you’ll see why I used the quotes in a minute!), Robin and her girlfriend went on a hike down one of their favorite bluffs overlooking the ocean. Her friend was being weird taking photos every few feet and slowing them down, but Robin really didn’t think anything of it and was just enjoying herself. When they were about to reach the bottom of the hike, they turned a corner and Gerry was there standing on some rocks out in the Ocean! Robin was completely caught off guard and didn’t really know what to think! She was just happy to see him! As he started talking to her she finally realized what was happening and waited for him to get down on one knee. She of course said YES!! But wait, was there really a golf tournament!? She was looking forward to it! Nope. . .all made up, but they were able to celebrate with her parents and friends before heading back to CO. Golf will have to wait for another time:)

They have since planned to get married at a vineyard in CA but wanted their engagement photos down in CO where they are currently living. I am grateful to be a part of their story! We had an incredible morning a few weeks ago in Boulder and I’l let the photos tell the story.
