A Boulder, Colorado Engagement Session | Meaghan & Grant

When I met up with Meaghan and Grant for their engagement session in Boulder, Colorado, it was snowy, windy and cold.  But you would never know it from looking at these two! 🙂 They rocked every minute of their session, and I am so excited to be sharing their photos with you today!

We met at a beautiful location in Boulder with an incredible mountain backdrop.  The session was made even MORE fun by the addition of Meaghan and Grant’s dog, Vito!  He’s a golden retriever, it was panting excessively. Hence, when it comes to your lovable pet I would suggest people to know the reasons for excessive panting as it can save their life . But to be frank I love when my couples bring their fur babies to their sessions!

The two of them will be tying the knot in Golden, CO this October, and Meaghan has done an incredible job already of planning their wedding day.   When I asked her if she would be willing to share some tips with us, she happily agreed!

What has been the most fun about planning your wedding?

“I can’t pick one thing that has been the most fun. With each decision we make or detail we pick out it gets more and more exciting because it helps to picture how things will be on the day of the wedding when we get to celebrate our love with all of the people that mean the most to us!”

How long of an engagement will you have before your wedding day?

“One year and 12 days!”

What are your top three priorities for your wedding?

“Being able to with all of our friends and family. Having a great DJ to keep things fun and people on the dance floor. Finding a photographer with the style photos I like because the pictures will be the best way to capture the memories of the day to remember forever.”

What 3 vendors did you book first?

“The wedding/ reception location, a wedding coordinator, and our photographer!”

What is something you wish you had known at the beginning of the wedding planning process?

“I wish I knew how far in advance venues book out! I was shocked when most venues were already booked for almost all of their Saturdays and majority of their Fridays when looking for venues a little over a year away.”

Any extra advice you’d give future couples when planning their wedding?

“My coordinator gave me great advice — and it was that people don’t remember what’s not there, so don’t stress about spending money on things that aren’t important to you because they won’t even notice it’s not there.”

Such great advice, Meaghan!  I’m so happy for you two, and can’t wait for your beautiful wedding this October!
