Darcy & Derek | The St Vrain | Longmont, CO

Darcy & Derek took a road trip to Telluride for the Bluegrass Festival last June. They camped along the way at some new spots in Colorado that they hadn’t been before in a rented teardrop camper. At one stop Derek had planned to propose little to Darcy’s knowledge! He told Darcy that he really wanted to take a picture at sunset after a short hike that opened up to the Silverjack Reservoir. As the moment happened Darcy turned around to see Derek on one knee holding her grandmother’s wedding ring to ask her to marry him. He had asked her parents before the trip for their blessing and of course Darcy said YES!

One year later and here we are. . . Darcy & Derek were married on May 25th at The St Vrain in Longmont. With just about 100 guests, they cheerfully exchanged vows to love one another and support each other for the rest of time. The St Vrain was the perfect choice for these two. With its chic but industrial vibe, it fit their personalities perfectly. Darcy’s bridesmaids all wore marigold colored dresses and she gifted each one of them custom Levi’s denim jackets to wear at the reception. How fun is that!?

Each and every guest laughed and cried as their best friends and family members gave toasts and congratulated the newlyweds. Sugar Pine Catering outdid themselves once again with a delicious meal and yummy cocktails. Dinner, toasts, cake and donuts and LOTS of dancing made for a fabulous wedding reception. The couple took off in a Porsche get away car and caught a plane to Tulum the next morning!
