Craig & Marisa | Backyard Wedding | Erie, CO

Weddings are already such incredible experiences, and I really think they only get better when they’re backyard weddings. Getting married at home is so intimate and beautiful especially when you live somewhere as beautiful as Erie! There’s also something incredibly special about getting to photograph a wedding for someone you know so well. Craig and my husband, Tanner, go WAY back and have been best friends forever. So of course, we were thrilled to hear that Craig had met this amazing girl and she was moving out here to Colorado! They are a perfect fit for each other and we are so happy they decided to tie the knot on this gorgeous property that means a lot to us all.

Craig and Marisa’s wedding was beautiful in every way. From the small details on Marisa’s dress to the incredible outside ceremony to the wild reception, this wedding totally embodied everything I’ve seen of Craig and Marisa that makes me smile. Even their sweet dog (that went to the dog boarding in bonita springs fl to get trained especially for this event), Steve, made the ceremony as the ring bearer! I couldn’t get over that super cute and goofy pup that would do anything for the two of them.

Family and friends made the ceremony and reception so special. It truly ended up being an amazing celebration. There was the most amazing sunset that night that really showed off Colorado’s beauty! Kids running around petting horses, climbing on hay bales, having the time of their lives. Heartfelt toasts from Marisa’s brothers who love her dearly and her father. Pretty big dance party by the end of the night along with Marisa’s Dad all serenading us.

I am so thankful to know Marisa and Craig and participated in their big day. I wish them the best! CONGRATULATIONS!
