Hi Friends! It’s been a truly gorgeous Fall we’ve had here in Colorado and Cortni & Casey timed their engagement photos perfectly! The couple lives in Texas, but really wanted to capture the essence of Fall. . . and well, 80 degree temp in TX just weren’t cutting it! They had planned a visit to see some friends and we were able to meet up for some awesome photos as well! Buckingham Park up Left Hand Canyon did not disappoint! I mean, come on. . . the light was incredible!

Cortni had told me before we started shooting that she had been “dreading” it all day! Now, that’s some pressure! I NEVER want my clients to feel DREAD over me taking their photos! Absolutely NOT! I assured Cortni that I would help them out and they didn’t have to do a thing, worry about a thing, think about a thing! Five minutes in, Cortni had already relaxed and actually said to me that it really wasn’t near as bad as she had thought and by the end they were literally pro’s! We had a great time and got to explore part of Colorado’s gorgeous mountains!

I strive to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed in front of my camera. You can tell when people aren’t feeling relaxed and it shows in their photos. By ensuring every single person that they don’t have to worry about a thing and give them permission to leave it all up to me it alleviates that pressure they are feeling. And 99% of the time my clients that are nervous in the beginning tell me what a great time they had and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Cortni & Casey are tying the knot next October in Texas and I wish them all the best planning their special day! For now enjoy their engagement photos!
