Camille & George are married! | A Lyons Farmette Wedding

The Story of George & Camille’s Engagement

From the Bride & Groom:

“One brisk Tuesday morning in October, George woke Camille up very early to go watch the sunrise over Lake Michigan. So, she reluctantly rolled out of bed and threw some sweats and sneakers on for the mile long walk to the lake. On the way they stopped at the cafe that she worked at to grab some coffee while they waited for the sun to come up. Unfortunately it was a bit of an overcast morning and it didn’t look to be much of an impressive sunrise. While they were chatting, Camille pointed out a little crack in the clouds that a few beams of sunlight were starting to shine out of. George took this as his opportunity and quickly jumped up from the wooden bench and started saying, “Well, before I lose this moment…” Camille interrupted with, “Ah damnit!” George crouched down in the wet grass while he dug his hands into his tiny pocket trying to get the ring out. FINALLY, his hand emerged with the most beautiful diamond ring. She took the ring from his shaky hand and slid it on her finger before he had the opportunity to drop it. Then there was crying and laughing and pictures and phone calls blah blah blah, but most importantly there were five chocolate cats waiting for Camille at home, and she was very, very happy.”

The Lyons Farmette was the perfect venue for this laid-back couple. With beauty everywhere you look, it was the picture perfect setting. Their ceremony took place under a canopy of trees and long farm tables lined the lawn for their reception. Guests dined on delicious tacos from Savory Cuisines and partied on the dance floor late into the night.

George & Camille, I’m so happy to have crossed paths with you and been able to photograph your lovely wedding! Congrats to you both!!
